Alcohol and Minors in Texas; Zero Tolerance for Children of the Lone Star State The following information, as taken from chapter 106 of the Texas Alcoholic Beverages Code, is provided as a general introduction to alcohol related offenses for minors in the State of Texas. Under Texas law a minor, for purposes of alcohol-related offenses, is any person under the age of twenty-one (21), which is the minimum drinking age.
