Gary Trichter, a DWI Specialist by the NCDD and recognized in the field of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Boating While Intoxicated (BWI), and Flying While Intoxicated (FWI) defense.

Since 1980, Gary has defended Texans concerned with preserving their valuable reputation. In fact, Gary co-authored the textbook Texas Drunk Driving Law, and has authored or co-authored 46 legal and aviation articles. Gary has spoken at more than 300 seminars on criminal defense and DWI. He has taught lawyers, judges and prosecutors about numerous aspects of the law, particularly DWI.

Gary Trichter

DWI Specialist Gary Trichter has been practicing law for over 40 years and was the 1st DWI Specialist In The State of Texas to earn the designation of “DWI Specialist”. This Board Certification comes from the National College for DUI Defense which is approved by the American Bar Association and is accredited by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Gary Trichter is a true DWI Specialist certified by the National College of DUI Defense (NCDD) which is recognized by the American Bar Association (ABA) to certify DWI Specialists.

Leslie LeGrand

Partner/DWI Lawyer

Leslie LeGrand, a partner, is a Houston DWI Attorney and native Houstonian who was born into the legal profession. He has become a four-time recognized Rising Star of DWI Defense Attorneys by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters Service, and has been recognized Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters service for many years. He is board-certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) and has been asked to lecture at numerous DWI seminars.

Aaron White

Partner/DWI Lawyer

Aaron White is a DWI defense attorney based in Houston, Texas, & a former Harris County felony & misdemeanor court prosecutor. As a prosecutor, he screened misdemeanors and felonies of all levels, evaluated and prosecuted cases including more than 20 felony trials. He also played an integral part in reconfiguring the Harris County post-conviction review division. Aaron graduated Law School from Georgia State University in 2007 and found his way to Trichter & LeGrand.

Greg Houlton

Partner/DWI Lawyer

Gregory J. Houlton is a former lead prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorney’s office where he had served as District Court Chief responsible for supervising a team that handles more than 1,000 criminal cases at any given time. During his tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, he tried more than 50 jury trials including capital murders, murders, adult and child sexual assaults, aggravated robberies, large quantity drug possession cases, and DWIs. Greg received his J.D. from the South Texas College of Law. He also holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Marketing.

Tracy McMickle

Legal Assistant

Tracy McMickle was born in Alvin, Texas where she graduated high school in 1994. She briefly attended Alvin Community College but left to pursue paralegal studies at the Center for Advanced Legal Studies in Houston where she obtained her Associates Degree in Applied Science in paralegal studies in 1998. She has been working for Gary Trichter since she graduated with over 20+ years experience as a paralegal.

Casandra "Cassie" Reynolds

Legal Assistant

Cassie was born in the Texas Panhandle and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma Panhandle State University. While at OPSU she was the student aid for both her History and Constitutional Law professors which piqued her interest in the study of law. She and her family just recently moved to the Hill country and although they have lived throughout Texas they consider the Texas Hill Country their favorite place to live and Cassie is excited to have the opportunity to work in the Bandera office with Gary Trichter.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Navarro

Legal Assistant

Jacqueline was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. After high school, she moved to Buffalo, NY where she worked on getting her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a Public Law concentration. After graduating college, she moved to Texas to live closer to her family and pursue exciting economic and career opportunities.

Gary Trichter has been practicing law in the State of Texas since 1980 and is Founder and Past-President of Texas DWI Lawyers Association (formerly Texas DWI Defense Lawyers Association).

Gary has also served as president of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA) from June 2011 through June 2012.

Gary practices all over the state including Anahuac, Angleton, Austin, Bandera, Bastrop, Beaumont, Boerne, Brenham, Bryan/College Station, Conroe, Dallas, Fort Worth, Fredericksburg, Galveston, Hempstead, Houston, Huntsville, Katy, Kerrville, Orange, Richmond, Seguin, San Antonio and many others.

Our main office is near down town Houston but we also have an office in the Texas Hill Country of Bandera. In addition, we have “of counsel” offices in Austin, Dallas, Corpus Christi, Beaumont, Tyler and San Antonio.
